Adult ADD

A Guide to the Diagosis and Treatment of Adult ADD

Clinicians’ Guide

These pages contains a guide for clinicians who are treating, or wish to treat, adults who have ADD.  It is currently “under construction”, and many of the pages are blank or incomplete. It is being made available as a work in progress in the hope that it will be of at least of some benefit to clinicians during the time it is being completed. Suggestions and questions from clinicians are welcome.

The guide is designed to:

  • inform clinicians of the clinical and practical issues involved in evaluating and treating ADD
  • help clinicians carry out the tasks of evaluating and treating patients with ADD
  • provide practical tools for keeping charts for patients with ADD
  • provide clinical forms that are useful in practice (questionnaires, confidentiality statements, patient information sheets)
  • suggest simple methods for assuring that patients remember and keep appointments
  • present information about the clinical and legal issues involved in prescribing stimulants

It also serves as a forum where practitioners can ask questions and share experiences about the evaluation and treatment of adult ADD.

The full table of contents of the Guide can be viewed in the column at the right side of the screen.
