I have never heard that, have never had that experience with my patients, and can't think of any reason it might be true.

Thanks for your note.

I do international Skype consultations and make treatment recommendations on line. However it is necessary for you to have a local physician who can be available to oversee your treatment, health condition, and deal with any urgent health issues that might come up. What country are you from?

If there were no problems when she took Focalin, there is no more likely to have problems than if she had never taken it before.

HI Frank,

Thanks for your note to me on the AdultADD,Info web site.

If you would be willing to send me a more detailed description of your talk with some excerpts, I would be glad to see if it might be useful to devote a page of the AdultADD web site to it. I could do it at no charge for two months, then both of us could decide whether and under what terms it might be worthwhile to continue the page.

Best regards

Marc

I think you would be best served by finding a local psychiatrist or disability lawyer who can advise you about your options and how best to protect our job.

I know of no link between Concerta and thyroid problems other than the fact that thyroid problems can sometimes make ADD symptoms worse.

Somewhere I read that if my child stops taking her Focalin, she cannot resume taking it again a month or so later, that it is dangerous. Is that true? If so why - what whould happen? I really need to know ASAP! Thank you SO much!!
